I spent over two and a half months in the Netherland between March and May. We were lucky to stay in a lovely place in Amsterdam with Elke. During this time, I took numerous photos of my uneventful walks through our neighbourhood and our little city exploration sessions. Through my cameras, I captured the mundane sights of everyday life, including streets, parks, and landmarks. During this time, I used a mix of several film stocks, including Ilford HP5+ pushed to 1600 iso, Ilford Delta 3200, Ilford Kentmere 400 pulled one stop, Street Candy ATM 400, and Fomapan 200. During that time, I also received back the repair shop theRolleicord TLR that belonged to my grandfather. I am very excited to start sharing some medium-format photos as well.

The first part of the Amsterdam series focuses mostly on the early weeks of my stay, where I was looking to create a moody atmosphere, with a lot of grain, high contrast, and depicting the spontaneity of living in a large city.
